Uninspired- drawing under the influence, and tard update

I'm retarded and messed up all the links and everything on my blog while attempting to change the layout. I'll try to put them all back soon...sorry if I deleted a link to you! My list was in need of updating anyhow...I also lost the little bar thing that says how many hits I had...does anyone know how to get that back, or is it impossible? Cry!

Been feeling weird, anxious, and uninspired about drawing lately...above is another inked doodle that I made to trick myself into thinking I am still being productive.

The rest of these are older...drawn late at night while enjoying a glass or two of something or other.

It's weird cause I have this stuff I'd like to post, but I keep thinking I need to save the stuff I like for the book I'm attempting to make.

That's it for now...I want to do a post about my new eyes, and a post about the cool stuff I got for my birthday, and hopefully I will do them soon, but for now all I want to do is lie around and be lazy!

Hey, I survived the surgery!!! Thanks a MILLION guys, for leaving me nice and funny comments! It's dumb, but I was pretty freaked out! Anyhow, I plan on doing a post that goes more into it later...also I want to apologize for sounding like I don't like glasses! I think glasses look swell, it's just that my prescription was reeeeeally bad! It was a huge pain in the butt!

So now I can see pretty well...but the surgery left a hickey on my eye! Yeeaaaauugh!

A STORY ABOUT EYES

My eyes are really important to me today!! I'm gonna talk about them! I don't normally like to do posts that are this self-absorbed, but I'm feeling pretty self-absorbed today, so I'm gonna do it.

One day a long time ago, I failed to see the cow that teacher had drawn on the blackboard!

Something was wrong... I was the first kid in my class to need glasses!

Over the years my sight became really awful. I was also self conscious because I had such small, unfeminine eyes!

Then one day during highschool, I got contacts. Holy cripes! My eyes were actually not small! And they were really close together! My appearance was unnerving...the glasses had caused weird shadows under my eyes!

Luckily I discovered a way to hide my problem. I relied on this tactic for a long time!

Like many other things in my life, I treated my new contacts somewhat irresponsibly.

The doctor told me "No more contacts!!! Yer eyeball is all wavy!"

Booo!! Back to glasses and tiny pea-eyes!

Later on in life I got contacts again! I scared Amid Amidi with my weird new eyes!

HERE'S WHY I'M FREAKING OUT!

I'm getting Lazik tomorrow, and it's scary!! I need comfort and soothing! What does the thing they shoot the laser into your eye look like?? Has anyone here had it?

This is me right now, all prepared for tomorrow.

I hope this doesn't happen! I kind of need my eyes for looking at things!

Mad Hot Ballroom!

So today I was bored at home, looking for something good on TV...there was nothing, so I decided to watch something random on Direct TV. I decided on a documentary called "Mad Hot Ballroom", and I ended up liking it! It's about school kids in New York being forced to learn ballroom dancing for school. It's pretty enduring and cute, and also great reference for drawing kids!
Seriously, if you want some fun practice for funny heads and expressions, watch this movie! I don't even really like children, but I loved the kids in this movie...they're really fun to watch!
I'll admit though- these drawing are boring, despite the great material that is in this movie. I unfortunately didn't get past the first stage- just attempting to DRAW the kids, let alone their funny expressions and dancing around. Be kind! This stuff is hard for me!

Oh yeah!! This guy was in the background, lurking about. The Daisy Duck heels are my own addition...the guy in the film is cut off at the knees, so I had to make up his shoes.
