Bid! Bid! Buy! Buy! Please!

Drawings are once again up on eBay, and it'll probably be a while before I have any more stuff up!

This smitten girl needs your affection desperately!

This lass has good balance. Buy her and put her in your home for good feng shui!

What are they gossiping about? Buy it and draw in your own word bubbles! I don't mind!

Click the drawings to go straight the the eBay listings! They're only up for 7 days rather than 10 this time!

Thanks everyone for looking, and thanks thanks thanks thanks THANKS to the nice people who bid last time I put up art! You guys make me happy!

Happy Birthday Sandra!

Today is Sandra's birthday! Sandra is my good pal, a super cute designer, and also my boss at Nickelodeon! She and her husband Jorge created "El Tigre" together. She doesn't have a blog (sadly), so leave some birthday happy for her here!

Gift for Brandy

My post today is about my friend Brandy! Brandy is an all-around awesome person. I'll teach you:

BRANDY IS STYLISH AND FRIENDLY!

BRANDY IS MULTI TALENTED AND CREATIVE!

BRANDY IS GENEROUS!

BRANDY IS BRAVE AND TRUE!

I'm sorry to tell you however that I won't be giving out Brandy's number to anyone today...she's taken! In fact, she's ENGAGED, to super-cartoonist Eddie Trigueros!
Brandy's been a real pal to me, and I want to help her out for her wedding! She and her lucky fiance are paying for it all by themselves, so I'm going to start a fund to help out!

Soon these drawings will be on eBay, so bid on them and help this excellent lady have an amazing wedding! I'll do a post when these go up for sale!

Work is hectic right now, but if I can manage it I'll put some new never-before-seen art on eBay as well, taking people's suggestions from earlier in mind. Thanks guys! :)

Oh yeah, here's some extra Brandy treats- photos of us having fun, and more fanart.

Yay!! 2008 is gonna be awesome! Right? Right???

OK, now to post all the photos from my Christmas Tahoe vacation that I meant to post earlier!

Ugh, I can't believe I actually lived here. I miss it! I miss actual seasons!!

Snow on the beach! So cool! I remember coming to this beach to eat sandwiches with pals instead of going to school.

Nice wintery colors!

I saw this cool shack on the way home. It's tradition for my dad to make the 8 hour driving trip to come pick me up, bring me up, then bring me back down again. It's fun though, cause we get to sing Christmas carols all the way. The rest of these photos were taken on the drive down. I missed a bunch of great 60's motels and stuff when I fell asleep for about an hour. Damn!

More awesome shack action! The only thing that's too bad is that my camera failed to capture some of the beautiful colors of the mountains and shrubs. The bushes were amazing shades of turquoise and maroon and lavender, and the mountains went from blue to grey to green to even mustardy browns.

When I saw this sign, we had to stop to investigate! What an awesome restaurant name!
EAT!
The building was abandoned and super run down, but someone was obviously there because we also found...
PUPPIES!!! YESSSSS!!!

Here's about when we got into LA...the last pretty thing I will see for a while!

Extra bonus- I got into some mischief while in Nevada...I posted some highschool idiocy on my other blog, so click HERE to see, or click the photos!

Hey, I hope you guys had a great 2007, and that 2008 will be even better! Thanks to those who still check my blog, even though I've been bad about posting lately! More on the way soon!

CHRISTMAS TIME

Arrgh! I had a wonderful idea for a Christmas post...I'm up visiting my family in Tahoe, and I wanted to post all these photos of the nice snow and everything...unfortunately though, I'm a tard and forgot the charger for my laptop. So I can't upload my photos or post the drawings I had ready to go on my computer.

Oh well! For now I'll post this crappy tree drawing I did as a kid and another awkward Santa photo. Perhaps if I have time tonight I'll try and actually draw something.

So have a good holiday everyone! Eat lots of indulgent food and open your presents with gusto!

P.S. Extra treat:

Dragging myself from the rut

RUT RUT RUT
I've been in a drawing rut, which I hate! However, I've discovered a temporary solution for ruts...drawing friends! Those familiar heads always cheer me and make me excited to draw again.

Here are some sketches, taken from MySpace and friend blogs. I'm sure a lot of you will recognize where I stole these funny poses and expressions from! Go check these guys' blogs for hillarious photo stories!

Dapper Eddie and stunning Marlo! I tried to color this one but messed it up. OOPS! You'd think by now I'd know how to use markers.

Hi Eddie! You have the best expressions in the world.

Kali is pretty. It looks nice when you put lavender in her hair.

Some of these drawings feature friend Nico! I've never drawn him before though...so they're super sketchy.

I did some more, but I'll save those for later. Here are the sketches before I inked them:

Bye fer now! Thanks everyone so much for the suggestions on my last post...if you think of any more, let me know! :D

Help! Ideas and suggestions needed!

Pretty soon I need to make some money from selling drawings on ebay again. Instead of inking old crap, I wanna draw some new stuff and clean it up all nice. So I want to ask the people who read my blog...if you were gonna buy some original art from me, what would you want to see?

Sexy pinup girls?
Really cutesy stuff?
Drawings of girls doing weird things?
More realistic stuff?
Ben and Nico suggested drawing famous or iconic girls, like Edie Sedwick or 60's pop singers.
What do you think?

Please comment and let me know what kind of girlie art you like best!

Also, I thought about doing commissions, but I'm not sure if it's the best idea for me. I like the idea of taking requests, but I'm afraid of getting asked to draw things that are going to be either too time consuming, difficult, or weird! If there are artists out there who do commissions, how do you handle stuff like that? Is it rude to take one person's request and deny another's?

P.S. New drawings coming soon!
