Ride with me to Heck!
Been obsessively inking doodles and coloring them on Photoshop, lately. I've got a whole pile of them, but I'm only posting one 'cause I'm saving them for OTHER THINGS!

Retarded comic
SO
Remember the funny drawing Kali did of her and me as angry tribal types on her blog? Well I continued the story this morning...I'm not going to apologize for crappy coloring and drawings this time, I think you guys are probably used to it by now!

Sorry it's weird!
Here is Kali's original vision!

P.S. This comic will make more sense (maybe) if you are a hamster owner!

Another eBay post
Two more drawings are up for sale on eBay! Please indulge me and take a look!
SORORITY GIRLS
MISS WATERMELON COLLAR
I have decided for sure what the money I make from auctions will go towards: Getting a book published, a nice donation to ASIFA, and more hula lessons (I say 'more' because I started taking them and they are the best! It is the best dance ever!)

Mad Hot Ballroom!
So today I was bored at home, looking for something good on TV...there was nothing, so I decided to watch something random on Direct TV. I decided on a documentary called "Mad Hot Ballroom", and I ended up liking it! It's about school kids in New York being forced to learn ballroom dancing for school. It's pretty enduring and cute, and also great reference for drawing kids!
Seriously, if you want some fun practice for funny heads and expressions, watch this movie! I don't even really like children, but I loved the kids in this movie...they're really fun to watch!
I'll admit though- these drawing are boring, despite the great material that is in this movie. I unfortunately didn't get past the first stage- just attempting to DRAW the kids, let alone their funny expressions and dancing around. Be kind! This stuff is hard for me!
This girl was really inspiring! My drawing of her doesn't do her cute expressions and mannerisms justice.
More kids...
Oh yeah!! This guy was in the background, lurking about. The Daisy Duck heels are my own addition...the guy in the film is cut off at the knees, so I had to make up his shoes.

Yeah! My stuff got published!
Coooool...this comic I penciled and inked for Nickelodeon Magazine is out on newsstands now! It's an El Tigre comic, written by Jorge Gutierrez, and painted by Gerald de Jesus. His paintings are great, so check out his BLOG!
Here is my favorite panel from it...I hope it's ok to post! If you want to find out what happens, go buy the magazine! Or just wait a while, cause maybe I'll just post the whole thing another time...I don't know...

ALSO!!!!!!
Only one more day to bid on my current eBay stuff!! Thanks a million to the people who have been bidding! I promise not to blow the money on stupid stuff!
Here are the drawings currently for sale...if you didn't see 'em before, there are bigger scans in an earlier post.

Hey, can some of you experienced eBayers out there help me out with some advice? Do you think I should put more stuff up right away?

Another watercolor
This is my third watercolor attempt so far...if you remember back when I first started this blog, then you might recognize that this is based off an older drawing I did. Actually I did this for a charity than my mom is involved in...the drawing needs to appeal to little girls and their moms mostly, so I sort of "cutified" the original drawing a little bit. Painting is frustrating! Be kind! :p

Phew! eBay stuff is up!
I finally got a few drawings up on eBay...check out the links!
Two fashionable weirdos
Sulky bad girl
Sleepy-eyed girl
More will go up if these sell!
OH YEAH!!! By the way, if you happen to be someone who wants to bid on these, first of all I LOVE YOU and second please read the descriptions carefully! The drawings are not huge...and some have little imperfections. I don't want anyone to be disappointed if they win!
Thanks so much Steve, for scanning these all nice for me! I hope someone bids!

Watercolor try and Kali funnies
So I'm trying watercolors now...they're hard! Kali, Marlo, and Rex gave me some tips but so far I can't really do much besides just try to color in the lines and not make a huge mess. Here is my second attempt so far, which turned out better than the first one, although still pretty sad...I'm not going to post my first one for obvious reasons!

And you probably already saw these on Kali's blog, but I thought I'd repost them here...these are covers I made for some mix CD's for Kali's last birthday! Kali and I both like singing and listening to country songs, so I drew her as all my current favorites.

Also, I made another retarded post on my other blog about my Miis on the Nintendo Wii. If you're a Nintendo fan, go look and see!

I share with you!
Today at the swap meet, Luke and I found these amazing magazine covers by Arthur Szyk! I heard about this wonderful artist from Jim Smith. I think they're really exciting, so please enjoy them too!

Oh, the scans aren't perfect, sorry! Collier's magazines are a lot bigger than my scanner (just got a new one!), so I had to put them together in photoshop.
Also, I bought watercolors yesterday, so I'll be posting some experiments soon! Kali's gonna give me tips! People have been suggesting that if I'm gonna try to sell an art book, then I had better try to make regular updates. I think that's smart advice! I'm going to do my best to post a lot of drawings (but saving a lot for the book too)!

MARKERS MARKERS MARKERS!
Hello!!!
By far, the question I get asked the most is "what markers do you use." The answer is simple! I use which ever ones are around!
Here is a picture of my setup, when it's actually somewhat organized:

Unfortunately, half of them are dried out.
If you walk into an art store and go to the marker section, I probably have a few of each brand. Here are some of the ones I have lying around right now:

How come everyone's so interested in marker brands? :)
